Privacy Policy

In short: your memories are stored on your iPhone. If you choose cloud backup, a private copy is stored in your own account and only you can access it. MemoKids has no ads, no advertising trackers and no analytics, and we never sell or share your data.

This Privacy Policy explains how the MemoKids app for iPhone and iPad ("MemoKids", "the app") handles information. MemoKids is published by Studio085 ("we", "us"). If you have any questions, contact us at info.studio085@gmail.com.

1. Information you store in the app

MemoKids is a memory book. To use it you may add:

your child's name, date of birth, gender (optional) and profile photo;
photos, videos, voice recordings, written stories, answers to questions and milestones;
growth measurements (height, weight, head circumference) and check-ins (for example sleep, feedings, mood, activity).

This information is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to it unless you turn on cloud backup (see section 2) or send it to us yourself (for example in a support email).

2. Optional account and cloud backup

Cloud backup is optional. If you create a MemoKids account:

we collect your email address and a password to create and secure your account. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us;
when backup runs, a copy of your MemoKids content (the information listed in section 1 and the related media files) is uploaded to private storage linked to your account;
access to this storage is restricted so that only your signed-in account can read or write it.

Accounts and backups are provided by Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Storage for Firebase), acting as our data processor. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by Google. Data may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under Google's data protection terms. See Firebase privacy information.

3. Permissions on your device

Camera — to take photos and videos and to measure height with augmented reality. AR camera data is processed on your device and is not stored or sent anywhere, except for the measurement photo you choose to save.
Microphone — to record voice memories and video sound.
Photo library — to pick existing photos and videos you select.
Notifications — reminders (weekly questions, check-ins, growth checks) are scheduled locally on your device.
Face ID / Touch ID — to lock the app if you enable it. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never available to us.

You can change these permissions at any time in iPhone Settings.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. The app checks your purchase status with Apple to unlock Premium features.

5. What we don't do

We do not show ads and do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
We do not use analytics tools in the app.
We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for their own purposes.
We do not use your photos, videos or recordings to train AI models or for any purpose other than providing your backup.

6. Children's privacy

MemoKids is designed for parents and guardians to record memories about their children. It is not intended to be used by children on their own, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Information about a child is added by their parent or guardian, who controls it and can delete it at any time.

7. How long we keep data

On your device: until you delete it in the app or delete the app.
In the cloud: while your account exists. Items you delete in the app are removed from the cloud at the next backup. When you delete your account, all cloud files and the account are deleted.
Support emails: kept only as long as needed to help you.

8. Your choices and rights

Delete your account and cloud data: in the app go to Family → Cloud backup → Delete account.
Export your data: go to Family → Backup & transfer → Export full backup to get a complete copy.
Edit or delete memories at any time in the app.

If you live in the European Economic Area, the UK or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We process account and backup data to provide the service you requested (performance of a contract) and support emails based on our legitimate interest in helping you. 9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access rules that limit cloud data to your own account. You can also lock the app with Face ID. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so please keep your device and password safe.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
